PRP Therapy: your body's own healing, amplified.
Platelet-rich plasma therapy concentrates the growth factors in your own blood and delivers them directly to damaged tissue. The result is accelerated repair, reduced inflammation, and lasting pain relief without surgery or long-term medication.
What Is PRP?
Growth factors your body already makes, delivered where you need them.
Platelets are the cells responsible for clotting and tissue repair. In PRP therapy, we draw a small sample of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge to isolate and concentrate the platelets, then inject that concentration directly into the injured or painful area. The high dose of growth factors triggers a targeted healing response at the cellular level.
Because PRP comes from your own blood, there is no risk of rejection. It is used across orthopedics, sports medicine, and regenerative care to treat everything from tendinitis to arthritis to post-surgical recovery.
Good for you if...
- Knee, hip, or shoulder joint pain
- Tendon and ligament injuries
- Chronic inflammation not responding to other treatments
- Sports and overuse injuries
- Osteoarthritis in early to moderate stages
- Post-surgical recovery acceleration
What to Expect
Simple process. Meaningful results.
Before
Consultation & Lab Draw
Your provider reviews your injury history, imaging, and goals. A small blood sample is drawn — typically 30 to 60 mL — which takes only a few minutes.
During
Centrifuge & Injection
Your blood is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then injected precisely into the target tissue using image guidance when appropriate. Most sessions take under an hour.
After
Recovery & Follow-Up
Mild soreness at the injection site is normal for 3 to 5 days. Most patients return to light activity within 48 hours. Full tissue remodeling continues over 6 to 12 weeks.
