Soft-Tissue Therapy: targeted work for muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

Pain does not always come from the bones. Muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia are frequent sources of chronic discomfort, limited movement, and ongoing injury. Our soft-tissue approach addresses these structures directly and with clinical precision.

What Is Soft-Tissue Therapy?

Clinical work on the tissue most often overlooked.

Soft-tissue therapy encompasses a range of manual and instrument-assisted techniques designed to identify and treat dysfunction in the muscles, fascia, tendons, and ligaments. After injury, these structures can develop adhesions, scar tissue, and altered firing patterns that perpetuate pain and restrict movement long after the initial trauma. Standard chiropractic adjustments alone do not address these issues.

Techniques such as Active Release Technique (ART), Graston, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy target the specific tissue restrictions maintaining your symptoms. At WRTX, soft-tissue therapy is delivered as part of an integrated chiropractic care plan, not as a standalone add-on.

Good for you if...

  • Muscle tension and chronic tightness
  • Scar tissue and adhesions from injury or surgery
  • Tendinitis and tendon irritation
  • Limited range of motion in joints
  • Whiplash and soft-tissue injuries from auto accidents
  • Sports and repetitive-strain injuries

What to Expect

Hands-on work that targets the source of restriction.

Before

Soft-Tissue Assessment

Your chiropractor or therapist performs a hands-on evaluation to identify areas of restriction, inflammation, and abnormal tissue texture. Target zones are mapped before treatment begins.

During

Manual & Instrument-Assisted Techniques

Your provider applies targeted manual pressure, myofascial release, and instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization (IASTM) to the affected structures. Sessions are typically 20 to 40 minutes.

After

Improved Mobility & Reduced Pain

Many patients notice improved range of motion and reduced stiffness immediately after treatment. Some temporary soreness is normal as tissue responds. Most patients are treated as part of an ongoing plan.

Why WRTX

Part of a complete recovery — not a standalone session.

Integrated with chiropractic

Soft-tissue therapy at WRTX is not a standalone add-on — it is integrated with your chiropractic care plan for results that address both the structural and muscular components of your condition.

Evidence-based techniques

We use manual therapy and IASTM protocols grounded in clinical evidence, not generic massage. Your provider is trained in the techniques most appropriate for your presentation.

Critical for PI cases

Soft-tissue injuries are among the most common and underappreciated outcomes of auto accidents. We document soft-tissue findings thoroughly from the first visit to support personal injury claims.
